Napa River Grill Culinary Cup

In 2003 we established the Napa River Grill Culinary Scholarship Fund. This scholarship was created to help give young people the opportunity to earn a degree in culinary arts.

Our commitment to this scholarship fund became even more personal on April 23, 2010 when we lost our Sous Chef Kenneth Black in a tragic motorcycle accident. Kenny was a vibrant young man who had a profound impact on all of those who knew him. He was talented, ambitious and loving. Chef Black became a member of the Napa family in 2004 while attending Sullivan University. We have decided to change the name of our scholarship fund to the “Kenneth Black Memorial Scholarship Fund” in conjunction with Sullivan University, where Chef Black earned his degree in culinary arts.

Giving young people an opportunity to fulfill their dreams and ambitions in the culinary industry shall be his legacy. This year Napa and Wild Eggs will join forces in our first fund raising event for this scholarship fund. The Napa River Grill Culinary Cup, a golf scramble to be held on Monday, August 2, 2010, will take place at the Cardinal Club in Simpsonville, KY. Whether you would like to be an Event Sponsor, Signature Sponsor, Hole sponsor, would like to donate an item for the raffle, or be part of the tournament itself, you will have the opportunity to enrich the lives of young people and be a part of some-thing great!
